In 1963, he bought what would become Domaine de Terrebrune, a property in Ollioules, just east of Bandol, framed by the Mediterranean and the mountain called Gros-Cerveau (Big Brain), dotted with olive groves and scenic views—an idyllic spot.

During the years following the declaration of A.O.C. Bandol (1941), mass overhauling and reconstruction of vineyards were commonplace, and vignerons were eager to revive the noble Mourvèdre grape. Georges spent ten years just renovating the property; he terraced hillsides, refashioned the masonry, replanted vineyards following the advice of Lucien Peyraud, designated soils to lie dormant and regenerate, and built a new cellar. In 1980, his son Reynald joined him after finishing winemaking school, and together they launched their first bottled vintage of Domaine de Terrebrune, which Reynald named in honor of the rich, brown soils they farm.

Organic

Winemaker
Reynald Delille

Grape / Blend
50% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache, 25% Cinsault

Origin
Bandol, Provence, France

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Domaine de Terrebrune Bandol Rose has an exotic nose dominated by pomelo, then honeysuckle and wet roses emerge, and then develops the complexity of a potpourri of flower petals. Heritage Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon are rooted in gravelly Cortina soils ambling off nearby Sulphur Creek. Our home is a handsome barn, contemporary and fresh, standing side by side with weathered vines. We strive to practice lightly touching the land from the tending of our vines, thoughtful winemaking methods, to the simplicity of our packaging, Winemaker Rosemary Cakebread’s vision for a wine of her own, eventually called GALLICA, grew slowly.

Inspired by earlier work at prestigious properties in both Napa Valley and Bordeaux, wines were made and a brand grew. The philosophy is a simple one: to craft elegant single vineyard wines farmed organically which accurately depict the site and the story of each unique vintage. GALLICA makes Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Grenache, Albariño, Syrah and limited bottlings of estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah. The brand symbol is a tribute to the ancient rose, their aromatics, and enhancement to winemaking. We love what we do and are fortunate to call Napa Valley home.

Organic.

Winemaker
Rosemary Cakebread

Grape / Blend
80% Petite Sirah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon

Origin
St Helena, Napa Valley, California

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Our Rosé is made the old fashioned way - whole clusters gently pressed to create the most perfect pink hue. We harvested Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon from our organically farmed Estate Vineyard early in the season to keep the finished wine delightfully dry, crisp and refreshing.

Fermentation took place in a selection of both stainless and neutral oak cooperage. Early to pick, first to bottle, and immediately approachable. We recommend enjoying the wine at cellar temperature with food to experience the lovely aromatics and complexity of the vintage. A joyful expression of alpine strawberry, a hint of white chocolate, oolong tea, and a note of savory jump out of the glass.

Product Size: 750ml

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0275/0441/0666/files/Gallica_Estate_Rose_St_Helena_Napa_Valley_California_2024.jpg?v=1748023424
