For three centuries and across 13 generations, the family has produced wines that are structured, longlived, fruity, elegant and balanced: the celebrated Trimbach style. The family personally looks after each operation, from planting to harvests and from vinification to bottling. The viticultural origin of the Trimbach family dates back to 1626, when Jean Trimbach, was recognized as a citizen of Riquewihr. From then on, the Trimbach’s were renowned for their wine-growing. Maison Trimbach’s vineyards are all situated around Ribeauville (Ribeauville, Hunawihr, Bergheim, Rorschwihr, Riquewihr and Mittlewihr). They benefit from the unique Alsatian microclimate, thanks to the Vosges Mountains protection, which preserves the plain from the rain. The vineyards were planted on the Ribeauville’s fault line that fractured 50 million years ago between the Vosges Mountain range and the Black Forest offering a mosaic of terroirs including the complex calcareous limestone and bio-degraded seashell fossils called “Muschelkalk”. Trimbach Réserves are the result of a rigorous selection from mostly old vineyards in Ribeauvillé and the surrounding villages, producing more complex wines with longer ageing potential.

Winemaker
Pierre Trimbach (RIP 2026)

Grape / Blend
Pinot Gris/Grigio

Origin
Alsace, France

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Bright, pale gold with aromas of juicy peaches and ripe pear. Great lengths are gone to each growing season to produce the best quality grapes from each vineyard. As respect for the vine and soil life is imperative, the viticultural tasks are carried out by a team of 22 dedicated staff members. The high ratio of vineyard worker to vineyard surface enables an attention to detail and the execution of many of the viticultural tasks manually. The soil is more fertile and deeper, which accentuate the late ripening character. The Gewurztraminer grape grows slowly, keeps great acidity and doesn’t suffer from draught or excessive heat. If that weren’t enough, the Boxlers also own land in the powerful grand cru Brand, the ultimate counterpart to their holdings in Sommerberg.

The Sommerberg hillside terminates in Jean’s driveway, making it easy to basically live in the vineyards, ensuring exceptionally healthy fruit year after year. After harvest, the wines are vinified and aged in old foudres in a small cellar underneath the family home until bottling. Not much has changed over the centuries; not much has needed to. Tasting through the entire range of Boxler’s wines is ample proof of the fact that Alsace, along with Burgundy, is the source of the world’s most complex, exciting white wines, and will probably always be.

Organic.

Winemaker
Jean Boxler

Grape / Blend
Pinot Gris

Origin
Alsace, France

Tasting Notes
The Albert Boxler estate cultivates 14 hectares on the most beautiful plots of land in Niedermorschwihr. Known to be one of the references among Alsace winegrowers, Jean Boxler vinifies his wines with extreme precision and is inspired by organic culture, while refusing certification. All the vinifications are done without any input, with indigenous yeasts and without stirring for 11 months. The wines, matured in old tuns, reflect the terroir in all its purity and elegance. This is a great sweet wine that develops notes of dried fruit and baked apple. On the palate, it keeps a beautiful vinous and balanced structure. Velvety, this wine ends on a generous and persistent finish.

Product size: 500ml

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0275/0441/0666/files/AlbertBoxler_PinotGris_Brand_SelectiondeGrainsNobles_Alsace_France_2018.jpg?v=1785371768
foradori-fontanasanta-manzoni-bianco-vigneti-delle-dolomiti-trentino-alto-adige-italy-2025
Foradori, 'Fontanasanta Manzoni Bianco', Vigneti delle Dolomiti, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy, 2025

Overview of the Wine
Our awareness of nature’s rhythms and cycles has been perfected through observation over time: each season opens new horizons, every day we learn and understand a little more.

We have learned to pay attention, to grasp the subtle differences existing in nature and to preserve the true character of the grape in the expression of its land of origin.

Our daily farming gestures are elevated to creative impulses: it is our duty and privilege to wake up every morning and to be free to work according to the message that the earth conveys to us in that moment.

At the helm today, a fourth generation of winemakers run Foradori’s activities.
